Brain Cancer Patients Showcasing Great Heart

By Rob Sutter

Brain cancer patients are ones which possess a great deal of passion and it's something I will always respect. They are able to push themselves hard and it seems like they can do just about anything, which should be inspiration for all of us. I've been reading about stories as far as this condition was concerned and quite an uplifting tale caught my eye more than just about any other. These people have heart and they have the ability to push themselves in order to show how strong they are.

Competitor.com recently posted an article about a brain cancer patient who took it upon himself to run a stringent marathon. Iram Leon was the name of said patient who has a tumor which doctors believe won't allow him to live past the age of 40. This has done little to halt his passion as a runner, though, as he was able to stay to Beaumont, Texas and run the Gusher Marathon with excellent results. To say the least, this kind of story is a strong one and deserves the attention of companies along the lines of Voices Against Brain Cancer.

Not only did Leon manage to perform well during the marathon but he went on to win it as well. According to the article, he ended with a time of 3 hours, seven minutes, and 35 seconds but he was able to do it while pushing his six-year-old, Kiana, in a jog stroller. It's clear that he has a great degree of strength as well if he was able to perform under that stretch of time. If there is any one person who can be considered an inspiration in recent memory, it's Leon.

Just because someone has been stricken with this condition does not mean that they have to stay secluded in their homes. I think that this has allowed people to become even more driven, allowing them to operate in spite of the conditions they're under. I have all of the reason in the world to believe that they can actually work better than just about any other competitor in an event. Hopefully Leon's story is one that touches people and pushes them more than they had before.

Brain cancer is the sort of condition in which many stories exist for it. Research and various findings seem to be the most common topics but what about ones which talk about people in particular? I think that telling about their triumphs, regardless of their conditions, are ones that deserve just as much attention because they allow people to see the brighter side of things. It shows that people can succeed, no matter what kinds of conditions seem to exist in the world.
