By Jake Alexandre

There are two important hormones in female bodies named estrogen and progesterone. Both these hormones are called female hormones that are crucial for the reproductive system of females. These hormones are produced in the ovaries and contribute a lot in making the menstrual cycle regular. These female hormones are known as female sex hormones and are responsible in breast development. Furthermore maturity of vagina, uterus and Fallopian tubes are highly associated with sufficient levels of these hormones. Both of these hormones must be present up to healthy levels in one's body so that healthy life could be enjoyed without any health complexities.

Female hormones are responsible for different duties such as estrogen hormone is responsible for healthy production and development of lots of sexual characteristics such as body shape, menstrual cycle, hair growth under the arms and around the pubic region. The entire metabolic process is also highly dependable on adequate production of estrogen hormone. This hormone also contributes a lot to the bone development. On the other hand, when it comes to progesterone hormone, this hormone is very helpful in regulating the menstrual cycles. Female hormones are very important to ensure one's quality of life. When women suffer from a deficiency of these hormones, they start suffering from lots of health problems and disorders. A deficiency in the production of female hormones occurs when females enters the early 40s. This is a stage where production of these hormones starts getting gradually decreased. This stage is called the menopause stage. Menopause means that a woman will have no longer menstrual periods and will not remain able to give birth.
